Actually, there is no better way of blog marketing than shown by HP. the company notices that its new high-end notebook “Dragon” doesn’t sell well. So they decide to give away 31 notebooks to top-bloggers and ask for individual competition campaigns. With a few thousond dollars at risk they have received 31 (absolutely free) campaigns, whoich in turn generated 380,000 incoming links, millions of readers and finally resulted in 250,000 competition participants. Congrats HP. It’s just a pitty that this strategy would be quite costly with cars… (though a dozen-Smarts-campaign might be worth a try, right?)
